La voglia di percorrere le rive del torrente è sempre tanta, anche quando, come in questo periodo, il caldo è opprimente, ed anche quando sono previsti forti temporali di calore sulle montagne.
Si parte ugualmente, io ed Umberto, e con la solita scusa: mal che vada ci facciamo un giro.
In prossimità del luogo di destinazione il cielo, che già era grigio, ci da il benvenuto con nuvole gonfie di pioggia, tanto che qualche goccia batte sul parabrezza dell’auto. Parcheggiamo ed iniziamo a prepararci per l’ennesima uscita sul torrente. Gioiamo del fatto che ci sono appena 24° di temperatura contro i 32° che abbiamo lasciato in città e, mentre valutiamo l’opportunità di portarci dietro il K-Way, si sente tuonare sulla montagna vicina.
Il sentiero che scende verso il corso d’acqua è impervio e ci fradiciamo a camminare fra gli alberi della riva scoscesa, ma il pensiero di indossare l’incerata neanche ci sfiora, anzi…!!!
Arrivati sulla sponda del torrente ci accoglie un’atmosfera surreale: una tenue nebbia sovrasta la superficie dell’acqua, l’umidità nell’aria è opprimente, la vegetazione riparia è zuppa della pioggia caduta ed ancora si sente tuonare.
Mentre montiamo le canne ci guardiamo intorno con la speranza di scorgere una bollata o qualche insetto di passaggio; la speranza è di veder volare l’Ephemera danica, la regina delle effimere, anche perché Umberto non l’ha ancora vista dal vivo ed io gli ho assicurato la presenza.
Primo cerchio sull’acqua, è una timida bollata, primo lancio e prima trota catturata, non grande ovviamente, ma bellissima nei suoi colori e nell’ampiezza delle sue pinne integre.
Mentre la libero avviso Umberto del volo altalenante di una mosca di maggio sopra la sua testa ed i suoi occhi si illuminano…
Proseguo per qualche metro e mi preparo per un altro approccio sulle trote, alzo lo sguardo ed un’altra danica si posa su una foglia a me sovrastante, anche se la luce è poca cerco di fargli una bella foto. Un’altra la vedo proprio nel momento in cui si imbriglia ad una tela di ragno abbandonata, faccio in tempo a liberarla prima che resti irrimediabilmente invischiata ed è con soddisfazione che la vedo volare libera.
Ormai siamo parte integrante di quell’ambiente e le catture si susseguono con ritmo discreto, osservo con gioia l’aria soddisfatta del mio compagno di avventure.
Ad un tratto, mentre sono assorto a cambiare l’artificiale, la voce di Umberto mi fa sobbalzare: “Robè guarda, sta scendendo acqua marrone…!!!”, alzo lo sguardo e vedo irrompere nella buca davanti a noi acqua fangosa e schiumosa. Conosco la pericolosità di quella valle e non ci penso due volte a chiudere tutto ed avvisare Umberto di attraversare per raggiungermi sull’altra sponda, l’unica via di fuga per tornare sulla strada cinquanta metri più in alto.
Fatichiamo non poco ad uscire dal bosco e trovare un accenno di sentiero per tornare indietro, ma ormai potevamo tirare un sospiro di sollievo.
Sulla strada una pattuglia del Corpo Forestale ci informa che a monte c’è stato un temporale molto intenso con una violentissima grandinata, ecco cosa aveva causato quell’ondata di fango.
“Robè, breve ma intensa…!!!”, la frase di Umberto mi rincuora perché era trascorsa appena un’oretta e mezza dall’inizio della pescata, ma era sempre troppo presto per tornarcene a casa.
Optiamo quindi di trascorrere l’ultimo paio d’ore a disposizione su un affluente del corso d’acqua che si era sporcato, un breve torrentello che sicuramente non aveva risentito del violento temporale.
Qui troviamo un altro ambiente da favola e portiamo a termine la nostra uscita, risolvendo il contrattempo precedente nel migliore dei modi in un luogo mozzafiato, bollate di trote coloratissime e schiuse di effimere e tricotteri.
Il torrente ti concede sempre un’alternativa…
